Eat Just received a USD 25 million investment to accelerate growth in China

  • Eat Just Inc, a California-based company developing plant-based egg products, announced a USD 25 million investment and a strategic partnership with private equity firm C2 Capital Partners where Alibaba Group is its anchor investor.

  • Through the partnership Eat Just plans to leverage Alibaba’s consumer insights and experience to advance its team in China with plans to localize manufacturing in the future, as well as commercialization strategies, sales, branding, and regulatory approval.

  • While JUST Egg is already on the market, the company plans on applying for regulatory approval for its cultivated meat products following the partnership.
