Coalition, a pure-play cyber insurance startup, has completed the acquisition of the US-based property and casualty insurer, Digital Affect Insurance Company from Munich Re Digital Partners US, for an undisclosed amount.
Founded in 1986, Digital Affect Insurance Company is licensed to operate in all 50 states of the US. It provides insurance products and services for fire, automobile, property, theft, burglary, and more.
The acquisition will support Coalition's long-term growth in the insurance market and enable it to offer insurance policies through its own admitted insurance carrier. It currently offers cyber insurance policies in partnership with carriers such as Allianz, Swiss Re, and Lloyds of London.
Coalition currently serves more than 160,000 customers with Active Cyber Insurance, Active Executive Risks Insurance, P&C insurance, and cybersecurity capabilities. The company exceeded a run rate of USD 775 million in gross written premiums (GWP) and recorded nearly a 200% increase in revenue growth over 2021.
