Jellyfish, the employee management platform for software engineering teams, raised USD 31.5 million in a Series B funding round led by Insight Partners with participation from Accel and Wing Venture Capital.
The fresh capital will be allocated toward expanding its customer base and making hires across all functions in 2021.
The company reports that its platform benefitted from the Covid-19-led migration to remote work. Jellyfish doubled its headcount and grew revenue as much as five times during the year.
Founded in 2017, Jellyfish allows engineering managers to align engineering work with business objectives. By analyzing “engineering signals and business data” generated by developer tools, the platform offers insight into the tasks carried out, time spent, and operations. The company has integrated with developers and business tools, including GitHub, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Aha, and Google Sheets, to monitor activities and the time spent. Some of its customers include New Relic, SessionM (a Mastercard corporation), Medium, and Toast.
