Artemis 1, NASA's first mission to the moon in 50 years on the most powerful rocket ever assembled, was called off again as a result of fuel leaks. It was scheduled to launch on September 3 from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The first launch attempt was called off on 29 August due to an engine issue.

NASA’s team detected a hydrogen fuel leak from the engine section while filling the rocket on the day of the launch. Attempts to fix the problem ahead of the launch window (set to open at 2.17 p.m. ET) were unsuccessful.
NASA decided to roll back the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket to Kennedy's assembly building for repairs and not try another launch during the current period, which ends on September 6. The next available launch periods begin September 19 and October 17 and last about two weeks each. However, the repair could lead to a setback of several weeks and the third launch attempt would likely take place after mid-October.
