Product updates

  • Based in India and Netherlands, Cropin, a SaaS-based agritech startup offering crop monitoring and analytic solutions, has launched ‘Cropin Cloud’, a cloud-based platform with integrated apps that will provide a wide variety of solutions throughout the food supply chain.

  • Cropin Cloud, is designed to be used by agribusinesses of all sizes. The platform includes three sub-platforms (Cropin Apps, Cropin Data Hub, and Cropin Intelligence) that cater to stakeholders across the food value chain to help them better manage crops and harvests.

    • Cropin App supports global farming operations management, food safety measures, supply chain visibility, and food traceability.

    • The Cropin Data Hub gathers necessary data from different sources for analysis including on-field farm management apps, IoT devices, drones, remote sensing satellites, and weather reports.

    • Cropin Intelligence uses Cropin’s proprietary deep-learning and AI models to support agribusinesses with solutions such as crop detection, crop stage identification, yield estimates, and irrigation scheduling.

  • The company also reported that its annual recurring revenue is in the range of USD 15–25 million and that it has grown 2.5x over the past few years. Cropin expects further revenue growth through 2023 with the launch of Cropin Cloud.

  • Founded in 2010, Cropin offers a range of software solutions such as farm monitoring, farm marketplace, and food traceability to players in the agriculture industry. As of date the company’s solutions are used across 92 countries and has partnered with over 250 B2B players digitizing 26 million acres of farmland. The company’s client base includes popular names like Unilever.
