Child and family-focused telepsychiatry provider Little Otter Health has acquired emotional wellness product company Little Renegades for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition was carried out to increase Little Otter’s offerings across the care continuum and further its strategy of becoming a comprehensive platform for families’ mental health and wellness.
Given the acquisition, Little Otter Health has also announced it is launching a back-to-school toolkit available through Little Renegades website. The tool kit is priced at USD 69.99 and also includes one month’s access to the “Kelp Line”.
Little Renegades is a retail distributor of wellness products, both physical and digital, aimed toward children at home and in-classrooms. The company sells activity cards, journals, child-sized yoga mats, and posters. The company also provides educational content on subjects such as mindfulness, meditation, and energy work. The company reported USD 2 million in sales after two years of operations.
The newly launched “Kelp Line” service by Little Otter is an on-demand chat line staffed by mental health professionals to answer any emotional, behavioral, and development-related questions families might have. The service will cost a monthly subscription rate of USD 29.99.

Analyst Quicktake: Little Otter Health raised USD 22 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round in January 2022. The company indicated that the funds would be used to expand its geographic footprint across all 50 US states by 2023 and invest in enhancing its platform, becoming an in-network benefit, and growing its leadership team. The acquisition of Little Renegades is in line with its goal of increasing accessibility to mental healthcare and enhancing its offering.
