Raven SR signs up Watlow as its technology partner for hydrogen reactor

Partnerships

  • Raven SR, a producer of hydrogen-rich syngas, partnered with Watlow, an industrial thermal systems manufacturer, as the company’s technology partner for its non-combustion equilibrium Steam/CO2 Reforming SR2 unit.

  • The SR2 hydrogen reactor will use Watlow’s electric heater technology to power Raven SR’s reductive chemical reaction. Watlow’s thermal systems include high-temperature MULTICELL heaters, WATCONNECT pre-engineered control panels, and temperature and power controllers.

  • Analyst QuickTake: Raven SR plans to bring its first commercial Steam/CO2 Reforming production facility online in the first half of 2023. The new facility will be deployed at the West Contra Costa Sanitary Landfill in Richmond, California. The facility will convert organic green waste into hydrogen for transportation.
