CoverTree, a digital homeowners’ and renters’ insurance provider, has raised USD 10 million in seed funding co-led by AV8 Ventures and Distributed Venture. The funding also marks the launch of CoverTree’s insurance coverage.
The company aims to utilize the fresh capital for recruitment, geographic expansion, and product development in areas such as distribution portals and automated underwriting and for investment in major partners.
Formed in 2020, CoverTree offers a range of homeowners and renters insurance covering modular homes, accessory dwelling units (ADU), and trailers. Its services are currently available in Arizona, Indiana, Michigan, New Mexico, Ohio, Illinois, and Tennessee in partnership with specialty insurer–Markel.
