Trapview raises EUR 10 million in Series B funding

Funding

  • Trapview, a Slovenia-based automated insect and pest management platform, raised EUR 10 million (~USD 9.93 million) in a Series B funding round led by European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF), with participation from Demeter and Pymwymic.

  • The funds will be used to accelerate development efforts in Brazil, Europe (starting in France, Italy, and Spain), and the US.

  • Founded in 2007, Trapview informs farmers about the pest situation within the farm in real-time using automated traps and uses AI and IoT to provide forecasts and developments of pest dynamics around the area. The company claims that the platform can monitor up to 50 insect species and reduce pesticide usage by improving farmer decision-making via timely and informed crop protection decisions. As of date, Trapview is used in more than 40 countries, including Brazil, US, Italy, and Spain, and on multiple crops such as tomatoes, vines, and leafy greens.
