ZeroAvia, a hydrogen-based aviation solutions developer, entered into a non-exclusive joint development agreement with Textron Aviation, an aircraft manufacturer, to support the development of ZeroAvia’s hydrogen-electric powertrain for Textron Aviation's Cessna Grand Caravan (208B) aircraft.
Under the agreement, ZeroAvia will initially obtain a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to retrofit the Grand Caravan single-engine utility turboprop with its ZA600 zero-emission powertrain.
ZeroAvia will receive certification support from Textron Aviation to deploy its ZA600 powertrain for the Grand Caravan aircraft. ZeroAvia aims to obtain certification for its 600kW powertrain by 2025.
