ZeroAvia signs up Textron Aviation to obtain certification for hydrogen-electric powertrain

Partnerships

  • ZeroAvia, a hydrogen-based aviation solutions developer, entered into a non-exclusive joint development agreement with Textron Aviation, an aircraft manufacturer, to support the development of ZeroAvia’s hydrogen-electric powertrain for Textron Aviation's Cessna Grand Caravan (208B) aircraft.

  • Under the agreement, ZeroAvia will initially obtain a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to retrofit the Grand Caravan single-engine utility turboprop with its ZA600 zero-emission powertrain.

  • ZeroAvia will receive certification support from Textron Aviation to deploy its ZA600 powertrain for the Grand Caravan aircraft. ZeroAvia aims to obtain certification for its 600kW powertrain by 2025.
