Amira Learning, an AI-based reading assessment tool, acquired Wonderscope, an augmented reality (AR) reading app, for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition allows Amira Learning to integrate Wonderscope’s AR solution with its AI-based solution to support the reading process for children and create a new area of interest in the EdTech space called “intelligent instruction.” It is believed that AI streamlines the learning process while AR increases student engagement. 

The company also stated that the Wonderscope app, priced at USD 4.99 per story, will be available for free on the App Store for a limited period. 

Wonderscope, created by technology developer Within, offers an immersive learning solution that is designed to empower children to read by engaging them in a 3D story.
