Juno, a digital banking services provider to cryptocurrency enthusiasts headquartered in Singapore, raised USD 18 million in Series A funding led by ParaFi Capital’s Growth Fund, with participation from notable crypto-industry figures such as Surojit Chatterjee (Coinbase) and Sriram Krishnan (Andreessen Horowitz).
The company's total funding following this round stands at USD 21 million, and it aims to use the fresh funds to expand its products and operations. The funding also marked Juno’s launch of its loyalty program token–Juno Coin (JCOIN).
Formed in 2020, Juno has operations in India and serves the US retail segment. The bank offers a checking account that enables customers to receive their paychecks and spend in cryptocurrencies as well as fiat currencies. As of October 2022, it had amassed over 75,000 customers and was reported to have reached USD 1 billion in annualized transaction volumes.
