SunHydrogen, a solar-to-hydrogen startup, has been granted the patent, “multi-junction artificial photosynthetic cell with enhanced photovoltages”, by India Patent Office.
This patent protects SunHydrogen’s semiconductor design, featuring high-density arrays of nano-sized, high-voltage solar cells. This state-of-the-art structure serves as the core of the company’s nanoparticle technology.
SunHydrogen’s existing grants are currently active in the US, Australia, China, and Europe with patents jointly held between SunHydrogen and the Regents of the University of California following the company’s previous research agreement with the University of California, Santa Barbara.
