Impossible Foods partner with Dominos Australia for a new range of pizzas

Partnerships

  • California-based producer of plant-based meats Impossible Foods has partnered with Dominos Australia to launch a new range of plant-based pizzas featuring Impossible Beef.

  • The new pizza range will include Impossible Vegan BBQ Burger, Vegan Impossible Double Beef and Onion, Vegan Impossible Fire Breather, Impossible Vegan Godfather, and Vegan Impossible Supreme.

  • All five options can be ordered as fully vegan or vegetarian (with dairy cheese) according to consumer preference. Apart from the five options, two other Impossible Pizzas (Cheeseburger and Hamburger) have also been released but these are not suitable for vegans as it includes dairy cheese containing rennet.

  • While the Vegan Fire Breather and Godfather pizzas are priced higher than traditional options (40% and 56% more expensive respectively), Vegan Supreme is ~AUD 1 (~USD 0.63) cheaper than its traditional counterpart priced at AUD 24.24 (~USD 15) with Vegan Double Beef and Onion costing the same for both options at AUD 20.99 (~USD 13).

  • AnalystQuickTake: Dominos Pizza began offering plant-based options in Australia back in 2019 and has launched plant-based or vegan options in other countries such as France, India, and the UK . Further, Dominos has previously partnered with plant-based producers including The Vegetarian Butcher to launch The PepperoNAY in January 2022 and Unlimeat, the plant-based brand of South Korean company Zikooin.
