Goggo Network, a German autonomous mobility solutions provider, has partnered with the supermarket chain Dia and restaurant chain Telepizza to offer commercial droid-based deliveries in Alcobendas in Madrid, Spain—the first town in Spain to have launched delivery droids.
Goggo Network has already mapped the city streets and has gotten the necessary approvals from authorities to commence operations. Initially, the company will deploy five delivery droids, with plans to expand it to 20 units in the region.
The company also plans to expand operations to more locations in the near future with new commercial partners.
Analyst QuickTake: Earlier this year, Goggo Network also announced plans to launch droids in Zaragoza, Spain in collaboration with the Zaragoza City Council, which is still in the early stages of area mapping.
