AeroFarms signs agreement to supply Whole Foods stores nationwide

Partnerships

  • AeroFarms, one of the largest disruptors producing leafy greens aeroponically, has expanded its partnership agreement with Whole Foods Market to supply the latter’s stores nationwide.

  • AeroFarms previously only supplied to WholeFoods market stores in the Northeast and has expanded distribution nationwide amidst increased demand for its vertically produced greens. 

  • AeroFarms is also reportedly the leading retail brand for microgreens in terms of unit and dollar sales in the US, according to Nielsen syndicated data.

  • Analyst QuickTake : This announcement follows the expansion of production at the company’s Virginia facility to customers in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast markets. The company previously supplied to 500 grocery stores in the Northeast US via leading retailers including Whole Foods, Amazon Fresh, FreshDirect, and Walmart.
