Spyderbat, a cloud native runtime security company, raised USD 10 million in a Series A funding round led by NTTVC, with participation from LiveOak Venture Partners, Benhamou Global Ventures, and John McHale. Spyderbat’s total funding currently stands at USD 14.2 million.
The funds will be used to accelerate the development of its Cloud Native Intrusion Prevention platform and go-to-market activities.
Founded in 2019, Spyderbat provides runtime security throughout the cloud native software development lifecycle with proactive threat prevention and mitigation. The company’s SaaS platform provides three core capabilities, including runtime visibility, runtime deltas, and runtime intrusion prevention to detect and block intrusions attacking known and unknown vulnerabilities. The company also performs threat research for cloud native environments to provide continuous actionable intelligence updates to the platform.
