Braavos, a DeFi wallet, raised USD 10 million in new funding led by Pantera Capital, with participation from Road Capital, BH Digital, DCVC, Crypto.com, Matrixport, and Starkware.
The company plans to use the funds to invest in product research and development, marketing campaigns, and expanding its employee base.
Analyst QuickTake : The DeFi wallet space has seen a recent influx of funding in the last three months with companies such as Sender Wallet , Unstoppable Finance , and Cashmere raising USD 4.5 million , USD 12.8 million , and USD 3 million , respectively. Braavos aims to differentiate itself from this competition by combining the trusted execution environment capabilities of mobile devices with biometric identification to reportedly offer a similar level of protection as a hardware wallet.
