holoride, a creator of XR-based in-vehicle entertainment, announced that its immersive gaming experience will be launched in Germany with selected Audi models by mid-November. The company expects to launch in the US, Asian, and European markets early next year.
Passengers will be able to access a variety of games and apps which will use real-time motion data of the vehicle. Further, the company stated that users will not feel any motion sickness since the technology uses steering, braking, and acceleration data to match the content in the headset with what the user feels inside the car.
Analyst QuickTake : Audi Electronics Venture, which currently holds a minority interest in holoride, initially developed holoride’s technology and licensed it to holoride when the company was spun out as an independent company to extend its services to other automakers in January 2019. This integration strengthens the partnership between the two entities which was established during the spin-off. As of February 2022, the company had collaborated on projects with leading car manufacturers such as Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and Ford.
