California-based space travel and space launch services provider Virgin Galactic, signed an agreement with Texas-based space infrastructure developer Axiom Space, to support the former in conducting microgravity research and training missions.
The Virgin Galactic spaceflight scheduled for 2023, will train an Axiom Space astronaut for its upcoming flight, along with conducting microgravity research to supplement its operations on board the International Space Station (ISS).
Through the partnership, the companies will work on furthering human space exploration while expanding the international space exploration footprint and increasing scientific discovery.
