Canoo, a Nasdaq-listed EV manufacturer, announced plans to construct a battery module manufacturing facility at MidAmerica Industrial Park in Pryor, Oklahoma.
This 100,000 sq.ft facility expands Canoo’s manufacturing capability in the region and once ramped up will add ~3,200 MWhs of battery module manufacturing capacity. It will produce Canoo’s proprietary battery modules, energy management system, and thermal control technology for its MPP platform.
Furthermore, the location was selected due to its proximity to Canoo’s battery cell partner Panasonic as well as its future Mega-Micro factory which is to include a full commercialization facility with a paint, body shop, and general assembly plant.
