Mentice, a simulation software provider for healthcare, received a SEK 3 million (~USD 280,000) grant from Vinnova, the Swedish government agency for innovation. Through this Mentice will also be a part of the TASTI project, a joint European research project financed by Vinnova.
The proceeds will be used to improve the synthetic image generation and realism in its virtual reality software.
Mentice develops medical devices and VR-based simulation software for healthcare professionals. The company’s solutions cover neurovascular, cardiovascular, and peripheral interventions and it claims to be the pioneer in endovascular therapies. Mentice also holds around 50 medical simulation patents across 30 different training procedures.
