Attabotics, a Canadian provider of automated micro-fulfillment and warehousing solutions, raised USD 71.7 million in a Series C-1 funding round led by Export Development Canada (EDC) with participation from Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board. The round brings the company’s total funding to USD 165.1 million.
The funds will be used to accelerate the commercialization of its 3D robotics warehousing solutions.
Based in Canada, Attabotics is a developer of automated warehousing solutions that uses vertical structures instead of the rows and aisles of a typical warehouse, deploying 3D robots to retrieve items from the vertical structures when needed. Inspired by the build of ant colonies, the solution claims to require 85% less space than traditional fulfillment warehouses. Attabotics serves the US and Canada.
