AeroFarms, one of the largest disruptors producing leafy greens aeroponically, has partnered with the Qatar Free Zone Authority (QFZA) and Doha Venture Capital (DVC) to build a new vertical farm in the Qatar Free Zones.
The new farm will use AeroFarm’s latest vertical farming technologies which the company claims can generate 390x higher yields per square meter per year compared to traditional farming while using up to 95% less water and zero pesticides. AeroFarms plans to strengthen its presence in the Middle East via the partnership, by opening new vertical farming facilities in the future. The farm will also support local food production in Qatar.
