Climeworks, a Swiss direct air capture (DAC) startup, entered into a multi-year agreement with H&M Group.
H&M Group’s multi-year carbon dioxide removal (CDR) agreement with Climeworks, marks the former’s first step in its long-term commitment to building a portfolio of CDR solutions. Under this agreement, Climeworks will remove 10,000 tons of C02.
Analyst QuickTake: This agreement was announced on the heels of another multi-year agreement with Swiss insurer, Zurich Insurance . In October 2022, Climeworks signed a 9-year carbon removal agreement with PwC Switzerland , an audit and advisory firm. Climeworks also added UBS to its customer portfolio in August 2022 as its first financial services provider, following the company’s carbon removal agreement with Microsoft in July 2022
