BoostSecurity, a software supply chain security startup, has raised CAD 12 million (USD 8 million) in a seed funding round led by Sorenson Capital with participation from Hoxton Ventures, Golden Ventures, Firebolt Ventures, and Transform VC.
The funds will be used to accelerate the platform’s go-to-market and engineering efforts and expand its employee headcount of 20 across the product, engineering, marketing, and sales departments.
Founded in 2020, BoostSecurity enables developers to automatically identify and fix vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in their code to optimize the CI/CD pipeline and it provides visibility throughout the development, build, test, and release infrastructure to verify the integrity of the software supply chain. BoostSecurity serves customers in the technology, health, finance, logistics, human resources, and cybersecurity industries.
Analyst QuickTake: Similarly, Arnica, also a software supply chain security startup, raised USD 7 million in a seed funding round co-led by Joule Ventures and First Rays Venture Partners last month.
