Matter Labs, developer of the zkSync scaling solution for Ethereum, raised USD 200 million in Series C funding co-led by Blockchain Capital and Dragonfly with participation from LightSpeed Venture Partners, Variant, and Andreessen Horowitz. Following this round, the company’s total funding stands at USD 458 million.
The company aims to utilize the fresh capital to support the launch of its zkSync V2 rollup network.
Matter Labs also pledged to submit its core software under an MIT Open-Source license by the end of 2022, allowing third parties to examine, use, and enhance zkSync's code.
