Blue Origin signs CRADA with US Space Force

Partnerships

  • Washington-based space travel and space launch company Blue Origin has entered into a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with US Space Forece’s Space Systems Command (SSC).

  • The new agreement requires the company to complete the certification process for its New Glenn heavy-lift launch vehicle and provide the associated design and qualification data to SSC’s Assured Access to Space (AATS) for independent verification and validation.

  • In 2020, SSC terminated the launch services agreement (LSA) with Blue Origin after National Security Space Launch (NSSL) phase 2 winners (United Launch Services and SpaceX) were announced. This new CRADA will effectively allow the company to compete for the next NSSL.
