Vertical farming solutions provider Avisomo raises EUR 2 million in seed funding

Funding

  • Avisomo, a Norwegian vertical farming solutions provider, raised EUR 2 million (~USD 2.1 million) in a seed round with the participation of investors, including the founders of Element Logic (autostore distributor company).

  • The company intends to use the funds to advance its plans for 2023, which include international projects and hiring in addition to the construction of its Proof of Concept (PoC) facility.

  • Founded in 2018, Avisamo provides AI and robot solutions for plant factory development for vertical farming. Avisamo's offerings include growth stations, farming software, and vertical farming components. The company's systems have been deployed in smaller configurations at fifteen locations across Norway. Further, the company signed its first international agreement for a small-scale facility in Malta, slated to open in Q1 2023.
