Agtech startup Farmbot is to soon close a USD 5 million Series A+ fundraising round, led by Telstra, with an investment of USD 2 million. Telstra invested for the third time following USD 1 million Series A back in October 2021 .
The company plans to use the money to further its operations in the US and Australia. Currently being used on 3,000 properties in Australia, Farmbot also has a test program in the US. The company is slated to debut in the US in February 2023 under the name Ranchbot.
In an effort to give farmers and ranchers more information about how to run their operations more efficiently, the company has been collaborating with businesses like AgriWebb and Pairtree.
