Telepsychiatry platform provider Brightside Health has launched a telehealth offering to treat users deemed to be at an increased risk of suicide. The platform Crisis Care will be available to individuals who are actively suicidal or have recently made a suicide attempt and uses the Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality (CAMS) framework.
Through the platform, users are enrolled in a 4–12-week program run by CAMS-specialized clinicians, which includes weekly one-on-one virtual sessions, online check-ins, anytime messaging, and 24/7 call support. The program also includes documented in-session assessments, treatment planning, and safety protocols to ensure user safety and efficiency of treatment. Crisis Care will also incorporate Brightside Health’s partner organizations into the program for referral purposes.
Brightside Health’s Crisis Care was made available immediately in select states, with future plans for national expansion. The company has not yet disclosed its current availability or when its national expansion is slated for.
