RecyOuest, a French start-up offering recycling solutions for contaminated filamentary thermoplastics, launched the world's first recycling line for agricultural plastic waste nets, delivered, installed, and commissioned by ANDRITZ, a supplier of innovative plants, equipment, systems, services, and digital solutions.
This recycling line which includes a unique dry-cleaning process was established in August 2022 and claims to process up to 8,000 tons of waste from agricultural single-use plastic nets and twines into fibers for nonwoven applications and pellets, which are then returned to the plastic industry by mixing with virgin plastic.
Founded in 2014, RecyOuest is a green-startup offering recycling solutions predominantly for agricultural supply waste including agricultural bale nets. The company owns a patented mechanical recycling process, RecyNet, free of water and chemicals, which transforms waste to end products, Recycled Polypropylene (rPP), and Recycled High Density Polyethylene (rHDPE).
