Atawey, a French operator of hydrogen refueling stations, has received EUR 15 million (USD 16 million) from the “Industrial and Deeptech Startups” initiative as a result of winning the “Premiere factory” request organized by the French government.
The funds will be directed toward building 60 green hydrogen filling stations annually, starting from 2025. The project will also attract and be backed by other fundraising rounds within the next few months.
According to the France Relance, Atawey plans to build 400 hydrogen refueling stations by 2025. The company has already installed 25 hydrogen stations in France by the end of 2022.
