Agrology, a predictive agriculture platform, announced that it is one of six partners to receive approximately USD 5 million in funding from the USDA's Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities initiative.
This USDA grant's coalition of partners includes a mix of scientists, farmers, and the commercial sector to develop climate-smart practices. This coalition will focus on cool-season vegetable crops on California's Central Coast, using research-grade laboratory verification at the Huntington Farms Research Site.
Agrology was chosen as a partner to quantify regenerative practices in real-time due to their MRV platform, ground-truth measurements, and monitoring of greenhouse gases and soil carbon respiration. Further, the USDA grant will assist Agrology in developing the first commercially available and scalable agricultural greenhouse gas measurement and monitoring system.
