Mojo Vision, a developer of AR contact lenses, announced a halt in production of their smart contact lenses and cut back on approximately 75% of the company’s 150-employee base.
The decision came in light of a change in company strategy to focus efforts on its Micro-LED technology which is used to power its AR lenses and other applications such as VR headsets, TVs, and video walls. The company cited a lack of funding interest and adverse economic conditions as reasons to discontinue the production of its smart contact lenses.
