Direct primary care provider Carbon Health raised USD 100 million in a Series D funding round led by CVS Health Ventures. This brings the total funds raised by the company to USD 622.5 million. The funding news follows additional layoffs announced by the company.
The new funds will be used towards expanding its connective care model to new markets, investing in new technology, and exploring new value-based care arrangements.
Further, the company also partnered with its lead investor and drugstore giant CVS Health to conduct a pilot of its primary and urgent care clinic model in CVS’s retail outlets.
