The Easy Company raised USD 14.2 million in seed funding led by Lobby Capital, Relay Ventures, 6th Man Ventures, Tapestry VC, Upside Partnership, and Scribble Ventures, along with participation from angel investors.
The round also marked the beta launch of its flagship product Easy, a Web3 social wallet available on Android and iOS. Currently, the wallet supports the Ethereum and Polygon networks, and the company aims to utilize the seed funds to continue the development of the wallet and expand blockchain support.
Easy is similar to the Web2 application Instagram, in that it allows users to curate their profiles with NFTs from multiple blockchains and view other profiles. The wallet can also be used to transfer and receive cryptocurrencies and tokens, as well as sign and interact with Web3 apps.
It also contains a community-sourced rating system—Signal—that allows users to rate and flag risky transactions and services, along with a community feed enabling users to discover what is happening on Web3 in real-time across different blockchains.
