Mobility data provider, Wejo, announced a data agreement with Toyota Motor North America that allows Wejo to provide connected vehicle data, including driver behavior, to participating Toyota fleet vehicles in the US.
Wejo will process and anonymize the data gathered from participating Toyota fleet vehicles. This information will then be offered to telematics service providers (TSPs), fleet owners, and fleet management service (FMS) companies to generate fleet management insights including geographic locations, fuel insights, odometer and speed readings, and tire pressure. The driver behavior information can also be used by Wejo’s customers to further improve and train drivers.
Analyst QuickTake: Wejo also entered into a recent partnership with Ford Motor to access personalized connected vehicle data from Ford vehicles across the US and Europe and to supply data to insurance providers.
