Remote patient monitoring provider, BioIntelliSense, has partnered with AI-enabled care facility monitoring platform, care.ai, to integrate their technologies in optimizing clinical operations at healthcare facilities.
Under the partnership, BioIntelliSense’s wearable devices, BioButton and its BioCloud, will be integrated into care.ai’s Smart Care Facility Platform to monitor patients and automate repetitive tasks, while also measuring the performance of healthcare workers. Insights obtained from the AI solution will facilitate caregivers to take data-driven decisions with regard to their care model. The companies currently have two clients using their combined technologies: Houston Methodist and Ardent Health Services.
Florida-based care.ai is a developer of the Smart Care Facility Platform that enables nursing homes and hospitals to monitor patients and seniors through sensors located across the facility. The sensor continuously collects patient information and platform leverages AI to provide real-time insights and recommendations. It also provides fall prevention and detection, pressure-related injury identification, wandering alerts, and protocol adherence for staff.
BioIntelliSense is a remote patient monitoring company offering solutions to chronic-care management and early detection. Its primary device, the BioButton, is a continuous patient-monitoring disposable and wearable device that captures the vital signs of patients for 30 days to record temperature, respiratory rate, and heart rate at rest. The company claims it is an industry-first multi-parameter (for over 20 biomarkers) wearable device for remote patient monitoring by transmitting up to 1,440 vital signs a day.
