SiLC Technologies launches “Eyeonic Vision System”

Product updates

  • SiLC Technologies (SiLC), a silicon photonics company, commercially launched its “Eyeonic Vision System,” a frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) LiDAR solution with high-sensing capabilities. The unit was demonstrated at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and is now available for purchase and shipping worldwide , priced depending on the configuration.

  • The sensor is equipped with SiLC’s fully integrated silicon photonics chip, which reportedly provides more definition and precision.

  • The company claims the unit works in synergy with multiple applications including autonomous vehicles, smart cameras, and robotics.

  • Analyst QuickTake: It is plausible to predict that SiLC will soon be able to commence series production and fulfill orders considering their existing partnership with Hong Kong-based Cloud Light from 2022, a manufacturer of advanced optical modules, that will facilitate volume production of Eyeonic sensors.
