Bidstack, UK-based in-game advertising (IGA) platform, announced a sales and multi-year technology partnership with SimWin Sports, the world's first virtual fantasy sports league, to launch "Bidstack Sports," a dedicated sports division to expand access and activation for sponsorship and fan engagement models in virtual sports environments.
Bidstack claims this new solution to be the first-of-its-kind, enabling league and club rights holders to instantly deliver dynamic content and messaging within virtual stadiums and environments. The new solution features: 1) a content management dashboard that gives publishers and right holders flexible control over digital ad space; 2) data targeting and advanced reporting capabilities; and 3) allowing real and virtual world activations to parallelly operate.
The company claims that this new product will unlock new revenue models while supporting next-gen fan engagement and industry growth. It will also provide an opportunity to drive new sponsorship revenues and increase communication with the next generation of fans.
Analyst QuickTake: Bidstack Sports was initially launched in 2017 in partnership with the Football Manager franchise in the UK. Hence, the creation of a dedicated business division and the new partnership is in line with Bidstack’s strategic shift in focus to the US markets; it plans to grow into a USD 100 million operation within three years. The partnership with SimWin Sports would provide Bidstack with access to US sports teams including 32 American football teams and basketball and soccer teams, among others.
