Redivivus, a lithium-ion battery recycling startup, announced an investment in ENEOS Innovation Partners, a corporate venture capital firm, marking the final tranche of the pre-seed fundraising which now exceeded USD 1 million.
The funds will be initially used to build the company's first integrated Redi-Shred® system—a three-part passivation system that is claimed to safely process end-of-life batteries at any state of charge or health—which includes cryogenic treatment to slow the thermal reactions of batteries, specialized shredding equipment and conveyors, and a neutralizing bath to prepare the materials for transport, as well as to conduct pilot programs with partners in the United States. The funds will also be used to develop a mobile system for specific use cases, including battery logistics vehicles.
Founded in 2020, Redivivus provides safe disassembly, material recovery service, and battery logistics focused on the safe transportation of hazardous end-of-life batteries, prior to recovering critical elements through the patented technologies—Redi-Shred® and Redi-Cycle.
