AR glass manufacturer focused on auditory impairments, Xander, raised USD 1.4 million in a pre-seed financing round led by Ray Stata, co-founder and board member of Analog Devices, with participation from Mark Ethier, co-founder of iZotope, the 77, and additional angel investors.
The funding is to be utilized to accelerate the market launch of its first product, XanderGlasses which provides AR captions of conversations in real time.
Xander focuses on providing AR solutions to improve communication and its first product, XanderGlasses, is a set of captioning glasses for individuals with hearing loss equipped with a noise-canceling microphone. The glasses do not require cloud connectivity, feature an on/off function and display speech-bubble-like captions of what others are saying.
