Prisms VR, an XR EdTech company, raised USD 12.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz.
The funding is to be utilized for improving the company’s VR math literacy program and to expand its usage across more schools in the US. Additionally, the funding will be used for hiring purposes and the development of new XR learning programs for higher education.
Prisms VR, founded in 2020, is a VR-based learning platform for K-12 STEM education, backed by the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health. Prisms implements best practice pedagogy with personalized feedback using immersive environments for students to understand concepts in algebra and geometry.
