Hippo, a digital homeowners’ and renters’ insurance provider, launched Hippo Builder Insurance Agency (HBIA) to improve its Builder business, which offers tailored home insurance coverage directly into the digital mortgage and title process of home purchases.
Builders of all sizes can partner with HBIA to send leads of homeowners in return for a fee, regardless of whether the homeowner purchases the property or a policy via HBIA.
Analyst QuickTake: In Q3 2022 , Hippo’s total generated premiums (including gross written premiums and gross placed premiums) increased 35.6% YoY to USD 219.3 million, primarily due to the improvement in its Builder business which accounted for 26% of premiums in the quarter and nearly half of its new business.
