Hybrid testing provider, Simple HealthKit, has raised USD 8 million in a Series A funding round led by Initialized Capital, along with the participation of other venture capital firms. This brings the total funds raised by the company to USD 12 million. 

The raised funds will be used to expand the company’s testing portfolio, advance its initiatives to spread awareness of PrEP (a preventive HIV treatment), and help users manage conditions such as chronic kidney disease and heart health. The company also plans to make its line of testing services available through leading retailers later this year. 

California-based Simple HealthKit is a provider of at-home, in-clinic, and at-pharmacy testing for sexual health, chronic conditions, and respiratory illnesses. The company allows patients to collect samples and either return them via mail or in person at clinics or pharmacies for interpretation and diagnosis. Options for treatments and follow-up consultations are provided, should the tests be positive. The company operates on a B2B2C basis where it works with education providers, enterprise clients, public health organizations, government offices, pharmacies, and Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) to provide its testing kits to their populations through Simple’s software solution, which can be integrated into partner platforms.
