Sandbox VR is partnering with Netflix to launch a location-based VR experience based on the popular Netflix show “Squid Game,” which is set to launch in late 2023.
Players will compete against each other in various challenges inspired by the TV show, although the team from the TV show isn’t collaborating directly with Sandbox VR. After each game session, players receive a personalized highlight video that captures their reactions and recaps their individual Squid Game story.
Analyst QuickTake : Sandbox VR's partnership aligns with their aggressive expansion plans as the company aims to open its third European location later in the year, having previously established several venues in the US in Q4 2022.
