LanzaTech NZ, a next-generation carbon transformation company, went public through a merger with the special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), AMCI Acquisition Corp II.
AMCI, now renamed as LanzaTech Global, has begun trading its common stock on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol LNZA while its public warrants are trading under the ticker symbol LNZAW.
LanzaTech received ~USD 240 million from this transaction including USD 185 million from a common equity PIPE (Private investment in public equity). The business combination values LanzaTech at an implied pro forma enterprise value of ~USD 1.8 billion.
The company expects to use the funds to accelerate its commercial operations, meet capital requirements for development projects, and continue technological innovation.
