GoCo, a provider of HR, benefits, and payroll software, has acquired WFHomie, a Canadian company that offers an employee experience and people analytics platform. The financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. The WFHomie team is expected to join GoCo to work towards the development of more innovative products to create engaging and data-driven workplaces. This marks GoCo’s first acquisition and follows GoCo’s USD 15 million funding round led by ATX Venture Partners in late 2022.
WFHomie provides a subscription-based employee engagement platform, mainly targeting distributed teams. It utilizes data integrations with various third-party tools such as Slack, G-Suite, and HRIS systems to analyze employee behavior and identify signs of burnout and loss of interest. Its customer base includes companies such as Google, Facebook, and BMO.
For GoCo, the acquisition is part of its strategy to expand its offerings to include more products and services focused on improving employee experience and measuring engagement.
Analyst QuickTake : The acquisition of WFHomie marks the next step in GoCo’s growth story. In Q4 2022, GoCo revamped its platform with 50+ integrations, enhanced UI, visual reports, and performance management solutions. While WFHomie fits GoCo’s existing SMB customer segment, it also expands its customer base to distributed teams in tech, consulting, and finance, which are the primary focuses of WFHomie's services.
