Natural Cycles, an at-home fertility test kit startup, raised USD 7 million in a funding round led by Samsung Ventures, with participation from Heartcore Capital, Headline, Bonnier Ventures, and EQT Ventures. The company's total funding following this round stands at nearly USD 45 million.
The funds will be used to scale its AI/ML efforts, and hardware development, and support the launch of its cycle tracking feature integrated with the Samsung Galaxy Watch5 series across 32 markets.
In addition to this, Natural Cycles will be launching two new Bluetooth thermometers to its existing users this week.
Natural Cycles also reported that it reached profitability for the first time in 2022. The company currently counts over 2 million registered users globally. The company plans to develop its own wearable technology for its FDA-cleared NC app which currently integrates with the third-party wearable technology, Oura Ring. The app is certified as a contraceptive in Europe, Australia, and Singapore.
